Pastor Benny Wong of FCBC LA shared the announcement:

DR. TIMOTHY LIN went home to be with the Lord on Sun., Oct. 11.

Funeral service will be held on Sat., Oct. 24, 12 noon at the FCBC Worship Center.

Viewing: Fri., Oct. 23, Rose Hills Mortuary Chapel 120.

In lieu of flowers, please make donation to one of the following:

1) Dr. Lin Scholarship Fund of FCBC, LA (make it payable to FCBC);

2) Dr. Lin Scholarship Fund of CES, North America (make it payable to CESNA);

3) Dr. Lin building Fund of CES, Taiwan (make it payable to China Evangelical Seminary Association).

Dear Pastor Benny,

Greetings to you, your dear family, and church family!

Thank you very much for your kind e-mail.

We shall certainly keep our churches informed promptly.

Again, on behalf of myself and our Fellowship I would like to express our most profound condolences to Dr. Lin’s dear family and your church family.  The physical presence of such a sweet saint, is surely sorely missed.  We are thankful, however, that he has now rested from his labor and is enjoying the eternal bliss in our Father’s bosom.  His good deeds follow with him.

It was such a blessing to benefit from his splendid service less than a year ago when we of the Fellowship meeting in your church had the privilege to hear him expound God’s Word, to pose for a photo with him, and to have the pleasure of feasting with him.  These are certainly marvelous memories to be cherished.  Thank you for your part of having made this possible.

Be assured of our prayer for you, Dr. Lin’s family, and your dear church as you celebrate Dr. Lin’s lovely life in his “commendable commencement” at noon on October 24, 2009.

May our faithful Father richly reward you all!
